Ode Brew Grinder Gen 2

A practical reference for Ode's numbered grind dial. Ode is built for brewed coffee only, so every range here is a filter or immersion method.

Fellow's starting ranges for the Gen 2 brew burrs, as printed in the in-box dial guide. These are guides, not fixed recipes.

The scale is printed on the grinder, so a setting is read off the dial rather than counted from a closed-burr zero.

  1. 01

    Run the grinder for a moment to clear coffee left between the burrs before changing the setting.

  2. 02

    Turn the grind dial with the motor running; clockwise moves coarser, anti-clockwise moves finer.

  3. 03

    Align the dial mark with the number you want on the printed coarseness scale.

Unmarked detents sit between the printed numbers, so a position between two numbers can be returned to. Start near the middle of a recommended range. Move finer if the cup is weak, sharp, or fast; move coarser if it is harsh, dry, or slow. Taste remains the final calibration.

读懂研磨刻度盘

刻度直接印在机身上，因此刻度是从盘面读出的，而不是从刀盘闭合的零点开始计数。

  1. 01

    调整刻度前先空转片刻，清出残留在刀盘之间的咖啡。

  2. 02

    在电机运转时转动刻度盘：顺时针变粗，逆时针变细。

  3. 03

    将刻度盘上的标记对准印刷刻度上想要的数字。

印刷数字之间还有未标注的中间格位，因此两个数字之间的位置也可以复现。先从建议范围的中间开始。若咖啡淡薄、尖锐或流速过快，就调细；若苦涩、干燥或流速过慢，就调粗。最终仍以味觉为准。
